RTX MIA? RTX 5080 Disappears from Nvidia’s US Marketplace
Like the RTX 5090, Nvidia’s RTX 5080 has disappeared from Nvidia’s GeForce marketplace
Nvidia’s RTX 5080 graphics card has disappeared from Nvidia’s GeForce marketplace in the US, leaving the RTX 5070 Ti as the highest-end GPU on that platform. Redditors spotted this change earlier today, and we confirmed it on Nvidia’s US website. Note that Nvidia’s UK website still lists both the RTX 5080 and RTX 5090.
Right now, it is unclear why Nvidia has removed the RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 from its GeForce marketplace in the US. This change comes after Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 5080 has received significant price increases at major retailers. Furthermore, it also comes amid rumours of an RTX 5080 24GB. If recent reports are correct, this GPU is intended to replace both Nvidia’s RTX 5080 16GB and RTX 5090. So far, Nvidia has not commented on these reports.
Right now, Nvidia’s RTX 5080 is available in the UK for £1,439.99, which is 50% higher than Nvidia’s UK MSRP. High-end RTX 5080 prices are already passing Nvidia’s RTX 5090 MSRP, though they have not passed the £2,000 mark.
(Where are the RTX 5080 and RTX 5090?)
While Nvidia’s removal of its RTX 5080/5090 from its US marketplace isn’t indicative of anything, it isn’t a good look for Nvidia. Nvidia’s lack of comments on the matter has left many gamers disappointed. Furthermore, Nvidia’s failure to maintain GPU availability at near MSRP prices has led to a lot of negative consumer sentiment.
