Makera teases a new “Desktop CNC” ahead of Formnext 2026
Makera is getting ready to unveil a new Desktop CNC machine
Makera has confirmed it plans to unveil a “new desktop CNC” at Formnext 2026, November 17-20th in Frankfurt, Germany. We reviewed Makera’s Z1 desktop CNC earlier this year, and to say the least, we are excited to see what the company’s cooking.
Right now, it is unclear what Makera plans to launch at Formnext. That said, we don’t expect to see a Z2 desktop CNC at this event. To say the least, their Z1 CNC is still very new, so launching a successor machine seems premature. Could Makera have something larger in the works? Perhaps a new Carvera series machine or something even bigger? Makera’s teaser gives us little in the way of information. That said, something larger than the original Carvera seems unlikely. After all, Makera said that their new machine is a “desktop CNC”.
