MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X SLI Review

MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X SLI Review

Introduction

The GTX 1070 matches up well to the older GTX 980 Ti. We know that the single card performance is exceptional and it comes with all the benefits that a more cutting edge offering will have, such as lower power draw, better thermal efficiency, and in the case of the Pascal GPUs we’ve also got the latest nVidia technologies such as their software GSYNC and their Ansel screenshot offering.

We reviewed the GTX 1070 Gaming X from MSI a couple of months ago and found it to be very much a class leader in terms of performance and low noise from the latest Twin Frozr VI cooler. It had us itching to see how a pair of them would perform in SLI and judging from our forums we know that we’re not the only ones. MSI kindly sent us another so that we could see what performance we could expect from a pair of these fine cards.
