55nm GT200 Revision A Bit Late
Last month we reported that Nvidia’s die shrink of the GT200 chips to 55nm would be released sometime either this or next month. Well now that doesn’t seem to be the case. Sources now indicate we won’t be seeing this chip revision until the fourth quarter.
Nvidia really needs to push this out, especially now that AMD claims that their upcoming 4850 X2 will outperform the current GTX280 while costing less as well.
Will the die shrink, new clock, and upgrade to GDDR5 be enough for the GT200 to topple AMD’s R700?
