Green 9600GT Specs Revealed

Word has been recently that Nvidia would be releasing a “green” version of their 9600GT card featuring a lower power consumption.  Well now the card’s specifications have been revealed.  The GeForce 9600GT Green Edition bears a number of tweaks from the original card, including lower clock speeds, the removal of the external PCI-E power connector, and a decreased operating voltage.  All of this amounts to an overall power consumption drop from 96W down to 59W.

 

Will this “greener” card help gain Nvidia the more power conscious consumers?
