Arctic confirms that their Liquid Freezer series of coolers will support Threadripper

Arctic has announced that their Liquid Freezer series of all-in-one liquid coolers will support AMD’s new Ryzen Threadripper series of processors, though at this time it is unknown whether or not these coolers already offer native support of if purchases will require an aftermarket TR4-compatible mounting kit.

These TR4 compatible coolers will come in 120mm, 240mm and 360mm varieties, each of which coming with push/pull fans. The 360mm version will come with a 27mm thick radiator, with the 240mm version will come with a 38mm radiator and the 120mm version coming with a thick 48mm thick radiator.

At the time of writing AMD’s Threadripper series of CPUs will release with 12-core and 16-core versions, with a release date that is expected to be before August 10th.

We have reached out to Arctic cooling for clarification on whether their coolers offer native/out-of-the-box support or if users will need to order a “TR4 upgrade kit” from the company.

Update: Arctic has provided us with the following response.

The Liquid Freezer 120, 240 and 360 are compatible and can be used directly with the new processors.
