Cooler Master promises extreme air cooling with its V8 Ace 3DHP CPU cooler
Cooler Master delivers improved heatsink performance using new 3DHP tech
Cooler Master has made some big claims at Computex 2026. With its upcoming V8 Ace 3DHP CPU cooler, they aim to deliver dual-tower air-cooler performance in a single-tower design. How? Cooler Master has utilised its 3D Heatpipe (3DHP) technology to “activate over 95%” of its heatsink. For context, conventional heatpipes only achieve 70% activation.
The message is simple. You paid for your entire heatsink; you should be able to use it all. By using its entire surface area more effectively, Cooler Master can lower CPU thermals by dissipating heat faster. That’s how Noctua plans to compete with larger, two-tower, CPU coolers using a smaller, more cost-effective heatsink.

3DHP benefits
Cooler Master’s 3DHP technology takes standard heatpipes and adds an extra leg into the mix. While most CPU heatsinks use U-shaped heatpipes, Cooler Master’s 3D heatpipes are W-shaped. This extra prong adds more cooling potential to the center of the heatpipe and adds an extra leg that can dissipate heat into a heatsink.
Using 3D heatpipes, Cooler Master has been able to do more work with fewer total heatpipes. This allows them to better utilise their heatsink and more effectively cool attatched processors.
Premium LCP fans
Alongside Cooler Master’s 3DHP tech, the V8 Ace 3DHP also uses new LCP (Liquid Crystal Polymer) fans. These fans are 30mm thick, which allows them to move more air than standard 25mm-thick fans. This helps Cooler Master deliver boosted cooling performance and achieve a better performance-to-noise ratio.
Note that the rear fan on this CPU cooler is a reverse-bladed fan, a change that increases this cooler’s aesthetic appeal.
AMD and Intel-specific versions
Another optimisation Cooler Master has made to the V8 Ace 3DHP is the creation of AMD- and Intel-specific versions. Each model has a dedicated CPU mounting bracket for AMD or Intel processors. This ensures optimal thermal contact and cooling performance.
