Cooler Master’s new Hyper 212 EVO V2 had made the classic cooler better than ever

At CES 2020, Cooler Master showcased its latest entry in the best-selling Hyper 212 series, the Hyper 212 EVO V2. This updated design promises support for a wider range of memory configurations of connected PCs, a more user-friendly mounting solution and an updated Sickleflow V2 series fan.

Cooler Master plans to release this updated cooler in February for $36.99, offering users more airflow with a slower moving fan and the same design elements that made the Hyper 212 series famous.

Like other most other recent Hyper 212 series coolers, Cooler Master uses four direct contact heatpipes to transfer thermal energy away from the user’s CPU and towards the Hyper 212 EVO’s aluminium finstack. Cooler Master’s new socket mounting solution is compliant with both Intel and AMD processors and is designed to be easier to install.

The asymmetric nature of this cooler design moves the cooler’s fan several millimetres away from the user’s DIMM slots, making the Hyper 212 EVO V2 less likely to interfere with tall DRAM modules. This makes the Hyper 212 EVO V2 compatible with more systems than ever before.

The Sickleflow V2 fan on the Hyper 212 EVO is designed to offer users increased airflow and lower noise levels, thanks to new “air-balance” blade design from CoolerMaster and other design enhancements.
