CRYORIG is now set to release their Taku ITX case/monitor stand in the first half of 2018
This Kickstarter failed to generate even half of the case’s $100,000 funding target, though that has not deterred Cryorig from releasing this chassis into the wild. Now the company is set to release this chassis worldwide in early 2018, at price of $299 USD. The Taku will be released initially in Taiwan, Japan and the USA this December, but only in limited quantities. Â
Those who backed this unit on Kickstarter will be given the opportunity to purchase this case and receive a retail unit before the end of December, with the chassis coming with a free CRYORIG C7 CPU cooler. Given this unit’s compact design only CPU coolers with a maximum height of 48mm can be used.Â
Â
Cryorig has designed the Taku to support an SFX/SFX-L PSUs, an ITX motherboard, a full sized GPU and up to three storage drives (2x 2.5-inch 1x 3.5-inch), all while maintaining a compact form factor and provide a stylish, yet minimalist feel.Â
This chassis will be able to hold up to a 15KG display and allows all of the PC’s internal components to be removed without harming the frame’s weight bearing capacity, with the internal PC tray/case being removable like a drawer from a cabinet. Underneath the main frame of the chassis is enough room for the user to store a full-sized keyboard when it is not in use, allowing the user to save desk space when required.  Â
The Taku is a chassis that is designed by Cryorig but manufactured by Lian Li, which means that users can expect this design to come well built and with the same attention to detail as Lian Li’s own premium PC case designs. More info on CRYORIG’s TAKU can be found here.Â
