Cryorig’s TAKU monitor stand ITX chassis has hit Kickstarter

Cryorig, a manufacturer of CPU cooling solutions for the consumer PC market, has decided to bring their talents over the PC case market, designing their new TAKU monitor stand/case hybrid.

With the TAKU Cryorig has designed a chassis that can support an SFX PSU, an ITX motherboard, a full sized GPU and up to three storage drives (2x 2.5-inch 1x 3.5-inch) in a compact form factor that is designed to save its user’s desk space and provide a stylish, yet minimalist PC case.

This chassis will be able to hold up to a 15KG display and allows all of the PC’s internal components to be removed without harming the frame’s weight bearing capacity, with the internal PC tray/case being removable like a drawer from a cabinet. Underneath the main frame of the chassis is enough room for the user to store a full-sized keyboard when it is not in use, allowing the user to save desk space when required.

The Taku will be available with a white, black or red frame, with two different wooden or aluminium leg colour options. Cryorig does not create their own PC cases, so they are relying on Lian Li to manufacture their chassis and Kickstarter funding to manufacture the case, with a Kickstarter goal of $100,000.

Cryorig’s Kickstarter officially starts today and will last until July 28th. You can view the TAKU’s official Kickstarter page here.
