When a new CPU platform launches, the manufacturers of system cooling solutions cannot sit idle and must ensure that their latest line of products support as many systems as possible, either by releasing mounting/upgrade kits or by rigorously testing their existing hardware with new mount compatible socket designs

Fractal has released a report that certifies their Celcius S36 and S24 series coolers for both AMD’s Threadripper TR4/X399 platform and Intel’s new X299 Skylake-X platform. The Celsius series of AIO coolers won our OC3D Silence award back when we tested it, so it is great to see that these coolers are now compatible with a wider range of hardware.

To support X399 users will need an Asetek X399 mounting bracket, which is supplied with every Threadripper CPU purchase, giving the Celcius series of coolers out of the box support with TR4/X399.

Intel’s X299 socket is mounting kit compatible with X99, giving automatic support for Fractal’s cooler design. On top of this Fractal has conducted their own testing to ensure that their AIO coolers are properly supported by Intel’s latest socket. To support LGA 2066 Fractal users can simply use the 2011-v3 mounting kit that is supplied with their AIO.
