MSI unveils dual-tower MPG CoreFrozr AP15 CPU cooler with a DIGI screen

MSI promises dual-tower air cooler performance with maximum RAM clearance at Computex

MSI has officially unveiled its new MPG CoreFrozr AP15 CPU cooler, a new dual-tower air cooler that pledges to deliver optimised performance and maximum RAM clearance. Unlike most larger air cooler, MSI has offset its AP15 design to maximise RAM clearance. This allows PC builders to use taller RAM kits without needing to adjust their cooler’s fans.

Included with this cooler are two fans, one of which is hidden between the heatsink’s two towers. The cooler also ships with a DIGI-DISPLAY that connects to your PC via USB 2.0 to monitor CPU temperature, CPU usage, and power consumption in real time.

MSI has offset the RPMs of this cooler’s included fans to maximise its heatsink’s cooling potential while minimising noise. RPM-matched fans can be louder than slightly offset fans when they are close by. Noctua uses the same method to minimise the noise levels of its newest cooling solutions.

MSI plans to release its new COREFROZR AP15 CPU cooler in September with an MSRP of $139 US.
