No screen, tonnes of appeal – Hyte unleashes their Y70 PC case

All the Style, minus the screen – Hyte launches their Y70 PC chassis

Following on from the success of their popular Y70 Touch PC case, Hyte has expanded their case lineup with new Y70 models. All of these new case models lack the screen of the Y70 Touch, but make up for that with much lower pricing.

Hyte’s new Y70 chassis is a direct successor to their Y60. The case will be available with Black, Red/Black, White/Black and Snow White colour options. The case will ship with a PCIe 4.0 riser cable, which is a must given this case’s vertical GPU mounts.

We reviewed the Hyte Y70 Touch last year, and we loved the case. This new model is the same case as the Y70 Touch, but without its integrated screen. Because of this change, the Y70 will be available in the US, UK, and Europe for $219.99, £219.99 and 229.99 Euros respectively. This is $140 cheaper than the Hyte Y70 Touch.

With its larger volume, the Y70 can support larger motherboards and larger cooling solutions than Hyte’s Y60. This allows Y70 users to utilise larger liquid coolers, larger graphics cards, and more cooling fans. While this new model lacks the Y70 Touch’s LCD touchscreen, the lack of this screen will be considered a good thing by some customers, especially given how it lower’s the Y70’s pricing.
