Noctua teases “Vaporisation” CPU liquid cooler ahead of Computex

Vaporisation…enhanced? – Noctua plans to show a pumpless CPU cooler at Computex 2026

Noctua has started teasing a next-generation version of its thermosiphon-based CPU cooler prototype. For this year’s Computex, Noctua says that they have “Vaporisation… enhanced”, suggesting that they have created a new and improved version of its pumpless CPU cooling solution.

This CPU liquid cooler is a two-phase thermosiphon solution, which uses a special refrigerant to transfer heat from your CPU to the cooler’s radiator. When heated, this cooler’s coolant vaporises and moves from its water block to its radiator. Then the coolant is cooled and liquified. After that, the coolant moves back to the CPU.

The pumpless nature of this design makes it quiet. Furthermore, it also makes the cooler more reliable. After all, there’s no pump to potentially fail.

Last year, Noctua stated that its thermosiphon-based CPU cooler was scheduled for release in 2026. However, the product has since been removed from the company’s 2026 hardware roadmap. This suggests that the product is now targeting a 2027 (or later) launch.

Right now, it is unclear how Noctua’s new pumpless CPU cooler compares with traditional all-in-one CPU liquid coolers. Noctua’s new design will undoubtedly deliver improved thermal performance. That said, it remains to be seen how well Noctua’s new pumpless cooler design performs.
