Noctua’s releasing a Chromax Black NH-D15 G2 next year

Noctua’s NH-D15 G2 is getting the Chromax Black treatment

When Noctua launched its NH-D15 G2 CPU cooler, a lot of people asked, “Is there an all-black version?” As always, Noctua’s brown and beige colour scheme has proved contentious. While many love the now iconic colour scheme, just as many people hate it. Thankfully, we can confirm that Noctua is planning to release a Chromax Black version of its NH-D15 G2 next year.

We already knew that Noctua is developing a Chromax Black version of their NF-A14x25 G2 series fans. However, until now, Noctua hasn’t said anything about a Black NH-D15 G2. Today, thanks to a fresh update for Noctua’s official roadmap, we can confirm that a new version of their NH-D15 G2 is coming.

Noctua plans to release a black version of its NF-A14x25 G2 fans in Q1 2025, and an all-black NH-D15 G2 should be released in Q2 2025.

Are you wondering if Noctua plans to create a white version of their NH-D15 G2? If you are, prepare to be disappointed. While Noctua previously showcased White Chromax fans. Noctua removed them from its hardware roadmap earlier this year and put their development plans “on hold.” So don’t expect to see a white NH-D15 G2 anytime soon.

If you don’t like Noctua’s standard brown/beige colour scheme, rest assured that black Chromax versions of their latest fans and heatsinks are coming. If you want RGB, look elsewhere. RGB isn’t the Noctua way.
