Take that Noctua – Thermaltake’s TOUGHFAN EX PRO series is now available in White
Thermaltake’s TOUGHFAN EX PRO series fans now have white models!
Thermaltake has just launched white versions of its TOUGHFAN EX PRO series fans, rounding off its non-RGB lineup of high-performance fans. Like its other models, these fans are available in EX12 (120mm) and EX14 (140mm) forms and in three-fan packs.
Like their other EX PRO models, these new fans ship with swappable blades, allowing users to switch between standard and reverse blades. This swappable blade design also makes fan cleaning easy. Additionally, these fans feature Thermaltake’s TOUGHFAN EX PRO MagForce 2.0 quick-connect design, which allows multiple fans to be powered by a single cable.

Thermaltake’s TOUGHFAN EX series looks great in white
Overall, these new fans have a clean overall design. While I would have preferred their black stickers to be a light grey, these fans would look great in almost any white PC build. These new EX PRO White fans all have maximum speeds of 2000 RPM and are made to deliver high static pressure. This makes these fans perfect for liquid cooling radiators and heatsinks. These fans also feature vibration-dampening pads. The blades for these fans are made using a Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP). This help to deliver minimal blade vibration at high speeds.
Will Noctua regret cancelling their planned white fans?
As we see stiffer competition in the high-performance fan market, we cannot help but think that Notua made a mistake. They cancelled their plans for white fans earlier this year. Now, other brands are filling this niche. Furthermore, they are adding features like quick-connect and reverse-blade options to cater to aesthetics-focused PC builders.
The high-performance fan market is changing, and Thermaltake’s new EX Pro models appear to be a great option for all-white PC builds. Sadly, we cannot find these fans in the UK yet, though we expect them to be available soon.
