AMD has officially announced their new Ryzen Threadripper series of CPUs, which comes with more cores than their Ryzen 7 lineup and will come on a new AMD HEDT platform.  
 
These new Threadripper CPUs will come with up to 16 CPU cores and up to 32 threads, offering 60% more cores than Intel’s current-generation 10-core HEDT offerings, delivering a lot more CPU performance. Recent rumours have suggested that this new platforms will come with 10-core, 12-core, 14-core and 16-core models, with support for 4-channel DDR4 memory at 3200MHz.

AMD has not revealed many new details about this new series of CPUs, though the company did say to expect more at Computex 2017.
