AMD is preparing AGESA version 1.0.0.7 for AM4 motherboards

AGESA 1007 comes with support for Raven Ridge APUs. AMD has also changed the entire BIOS base structure so we have to do a lot of work to port everything to the new version, which may result in further bugs. The advantage is that it makes it easier to support future CPUs (Raven Ridge, Pinnacle Ridge). The cold boot fix will be implemented as soon as we have a recent AGESA version which supports it.

  
Thanks to AMD’s huge BIOS overhaul with AGESA version 1.0.0.7, it looks like BIOS makers will need to port over existing features over to AMD’s new BIOS format, which is likely to introduce new bugs into early AGESA 1.0.0.7 BIOS revisions.

From the looks of it, AGESA version 1.0.0.7 is a major step towards preparing AM4 for AMD’s future CPUs, which will include Ryzen-based APUs and second-generation Ryzen Plus/Pinnacle Ridge silicon. 

ASUS is also confirmed to be working on a “cold boot fix”, which will be released with their first AGESA 1.0.0.7 BIOS’ on their Crosshair VI Hero. At this time there is no ETA for the release of AGESA version 1.0.0.7 BIOS files.
