AMD is set to release AGESA 1072a BIOS updates for AM4 motherboards this Friday
ASUS has already updated several of their motherboards with AGESA version 1071, though a Gigabyte representative has confirmed that the company has decided to skip this AGESA iteration as they “elt it was too buggy for even BETA”. The good news here is that Gigabyte has also confirmed that AGESA version 1072a is coming soon, with an ETA on new BIOS files being this Friday. Â
Below is a quote from a Gigabyte representative (GIGABYTE – Matt) on their official forum, confirming that new BIOS versions were coming to their AM4 motherboard lineup. Â

The exact contents of this new AGESA iteration are unknown, though the promised increases to stability are certainly something to look forward too. Previous AGESA updates have improved memory stability, though it is hard to know whether or not this new update will deliver more memory compatibility enhancements.Â
