AMD reportedly preps 6-core Ryzen 7600X3D CPU for the budget gaming market

AMD reportedly preps Ryzen 5 7600X3D CPU with September launch date

It looks like AMD is getting ready to release its first budget-oriented X3D CPU for their AM5 CPU platform. According to the AMD leaker Hoang Anh Phu, AMD is planning to release their new Ryzen 5 7600X3D in early September. In many games, this CPU is likely to best AMD’s recently released Ryzen 5 9600X, despite its use of newer Zen 5 CPU cores.

Currently, the pricing and specifications of AMD’s new 7600X3D are unknown. Like all existing AMD X3D Ryzen CPUs, this CPU will feature more L3 cache than its Non-X3D counterpart and lower clock speeds. Basically, gamers can expect a 6-Core Zen 4 CPU cores with 96MB of L3 Cache. Add on L2 cache and this CPU will have 102MB of combined cache.

Sadly, pricing for this rumoured CPU is unknown. That said, the Ryzen 5 7600X costs around £185 in the UK today. This leads me to expect a UK price of £250 or lower. That said, this would make this CPU cheaper than the Ryzen 5 9600X, which the 7600X3D will handily outperform in most games. Our review for AMD’s Ryzen 5 9600X is available to read here.
