ASRock hints at Next-Gen Ryzen CPU support with “official statement”
ASRock hints at “next-generation” CPU support on its AMD AM5 motherboards
ASRock Korea has released an “official statement” that suggests that AMD is already implementing next-gen Ryzen CPU support on its AM5 motherboards. While ASRock’s statement is mainly about the company’s latest BIOS updates, which can prevent Ryzen CPU failures (more info on that here), it also discusses “next-generation CPUs.”
If ASRock’s statement is correct, AMD’s AGESA 1.2.0.3d update delivers enhanced compatibility with next-generation CPUs. This could apply to AMD’s planned Zen 6 Ryzen processors. AMD has already tapped out Zen 6 CPU silicon using TSMC’s N2 lithography tech. This suggests that AMD could launch Zen 6 Ryzen CPUs in 2026. These CPUs should be compatible with AMD AM5 motherboards.
ASRock Korea Official Statement
ASRock Korea takes the recent AMD 800 series motherboard issues experienced by some users very seriously and would like to inform you of follow-up measures to protect the trust of our customers.
First of all, ASRock has released a new BIOS version 3.25. This version is based on AMD AGESA 1.2.0.3d, and has been improved to enhance compatibility with next-generation CPUs and optimize PBO (Precision Boost Overdrive) settings to enable more stable system operation. The BIOS can be downloaded from the ASRock official website.
ASRock is constantly monitoring the performance and stability of the platform, and will provide firmware updates promptly if any issues are identified. In addition, if damage occurs to the system you are using due to this issue, we promise to take responsible action for both CPUs and motherboards distributed through official domestic importers, and please contact the official ASRock Korea distributor for diagnosis and processing.
ASRock Korea will continue to listen to the voices of our customers and do our best to remain a trustworthy brand.

AMD has committed to supporting its AM5 platform until 2027+. This means that ASRock AM5 motherboards should support AMD’s next-gen Zen 6 Ryzen processors. The same will be true for all AM5 motherboard manufacturers that continue to update the BIOS files of their products.
AMD’s AM5 platform is far from dead. Today’s AMD motherboards will be supported far into the future. However, newer motherboard designs will be optimised for AMD’s newest processors. AMD’s next generation of AM5 motherboards will likely support more I/O options, faster DDR5 modules, and have more platform features.
