Asustek’s motherboard market share reportedly increases to around 45%

Sources indicate that ASUS expects motherboard shipments to continue to increase in Q4 2017 and Q1 2018, with the release of Intel’s Z370 platform acting as a driver for new motherboard sales. AMD is also expected to release a new version of their Ryzen CPUs in early 2018, acting as another driver for new motherboard sales.Â
ASUS is easily the world’s leading motherboard producer in terms of market share, easily dwarfing other big names like Gigabyte, MSI and ASRock.Â
With the release of Coffee Lake, ASUS plans on releasing ROG, ROG-Strix, Prime and TUF series motherboards, delivering a wide range of products that should suit the needs of most PC builders. It will be interesting to see what ASUS’ competitors bring to the table to compete with ASUS in the coming quarters.Â
