Looking at these results (above and below) we can see that the 10-core model offers very similar results to our own i7 6950X (10-core), coming with similar single-core performance and slightly higher multi-core performance.Â
The 12-core model offers similar performance to our overclocked i7 6950X in multi-core performance and less single-core performance, which is what we would expect from a CPU that runs at lower clocks and offers a higher core count. Sadly we cannot offer a more in-depth comparison as these results will come from a very different test configuration than what we used in out original CPU reviews. Â
Sadly we cannot offer a more in-depth comparison as these results will come from a very different test configuration than what we used in out original CPU reviews. Beyond this, the 12-core results shown here come with much higher single-core performance than the 10-core results, hinting that the 12-core system either offers higher single-core boost clock speeds or is coming with a significant overclock. Â
(Please note that no boost clock is listed, is it disabled?)
Â
As always, these leaked results should not be taken as legitimate retail Skylake-X results until official reviews are live, as it is unknown what clock speeds or configuration these CPUs are used with.Â
