Every PC builder and enthusiast are looking towards AMD’s Ryzen launch with great interest, with everyone looking for every scrap of information that they can find from pricing to benchmark scores.
One question that many enthusiasts have been asking is if Ryzen can handle today’s fastest DDR4 memory kits, with some suggesting that AMD will only be supporting memory speeds of up to 2666MHz at stock.

BIOSTAR lists their upcoming AM4 X370 GT3, GT5 and GT7 motherboards with 3600MHz memory support, hinting that AMD’s Ryzen CPUs will be capable of handling high memory clock speeds just like Intel’s Skylake CPU architecture. Right now we do not know if AMD’s Ryzen CPUs will be able to handle memory clock speeds of 4000MHz like Kaby Lake, though we certainly look forward to finding out when Ryzen launches.
