Aorus Leak Details Zen 5 Ryzen 9000 series CPUs and motherboards
Thanks to the leaker @wxnod, slides from Gigabyte’s Aorus division have leaked online. These slides detail the company’s upcoming Aorus motherboards, AMD’s Zen 5 Ryzen CPUs, and a lot of other details. This reconfirms that AMD will be revealing 800-series motherboards at Computex. Additionally, it confirms the names of four AMD Ryzen 9000 series CPUs.
In the slide below, we can see four AMD Ryzen 5000 series processors. These are the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X, the Ryzen 9 9900X, the Ryzen 7 9700X, and the Ryzen 5 9600. These CPUs are expected to have 16, 12, 8, and 6 Zen 5 CPU cores respectively.
Having translated the slide below, we can confirm that Granite Ridge (Zen 5 Ryzen) CCDs were made using a 4nm lithography node. The slide also mentions “upgrades to IPC”, and “increased frequency”. The slides also states that each CCD will feature up to 8 CPU cores and 32MB of L3 Cache.
Below, Gigabyte’s leaked Aorus slide states that AMD’s Zen 5 Ryzen CPUs will feature higher infinity Fabric speeds of 2400MHz. This is 20% faster than the 2000 MHz speeds of Zen 4 CPUs. The slide also mentions “DDR5 performance improvement”, suggesting that Zen 5 will support faster memory speeds.
Memory Support
The slide below suggests that AMD’s new Zen 5 CPUs will support DDR5 memory speeds of 5600 MT/s officially. This is a notable increase over the DDR5-5200 speeds that were supported by Zen 4 CPUs. However, through overclocking, EXPO profiles of up to DDR5-8000 will be usable.

We can expect AMD to officially announce their first Zen 5 processors at Computex 2024 next week. These leaked slides reveal that AMD has made some notable changes to the memory support and infinity fabric speeds of their new processors. Hopefully, these changes will help AMD to deliver significant performance gains with their new processors. I guess we will learn more next week.
