Fake GTA VI download appears following leaks, and it’s filled with malware
Warning – Fake GTA VI downloads are circulating, and they are almost certainly filled with viruses
Following the newest wave of Grand Theft Auto VI leaks, a 113GB download claiming to be a “GTA VI ISO” has appeared online, hoping to trick fans into downloading it. Many wondered if this download was a genuine leak. After all, recent “Cyberleek” GTA 6 leaks appear to come from a leaked PC build of the game. Could this build have been leaked online? The short answer is no; the long answer is hell no!
To make a long story short, people have analysed this alleged GTA 6 download, and it has been found to contain nothing, and malware. Alongside a 50 KB virus, this huge download contains nothing but junk files. Endless zeros pad the file size and make the download seem legitimate. 99.99% of the file is “empty junk”. So don’t download this file; it isn’t real.
It’s not 100 GB of actual code—it’s just a tiny 50 KB virus padded with 99.99% empty junk (literally endless zeroes).

Rockstar is currently working to uncover the identity of “Cyberleek” and prevent further leaks for Grand Theft Auto VI. Rockstar plans to give gamers “an extended look” at Grand Theft Auto VI on August 27th, with the premiere being paywalled behind a Netflix subscription. To say the least, recent leaks are undermining Rockstar’s marketing efforts. If nothing else, it is taking interest away from their Netflix premiere, which Netflix undoubtedly spent a lot of money to secure.
Be careful what you download
As always, be careful what files you download online. Bad actors are always trying to find new ways to infect PCs. Releasing fake GTA VI files to spread malware is an easy way for hackers and fraudsters to exploit online hype and infect PCs. As always, it is best to only download files from official/legitimate sources.
