Intel faces a potential class action lawsuit over CPU stability issues

US law firm Abington Cole + Ellery investigates potential class action lawsuit against Intel

The US law firm Abington Cole + Ellery has revealed that they are “investigating a potential class action lawsuit” against Intel. This lawsuit, if it happens, is on behalf of Intel 13th/14th generation desktop CPU owners. Reports of instability issues are common for these CPUs. Currently, Abington Cole + Ellery has a webpage where 13th/14th gen Intel Raptor Lake users can submit information to the firm.

Currently, it is unknown whether or not this lawsuit will ever materialise. Intel has already stated that they will replace affected CPUs under warranty. Furthermore, an update in the works to prevent damage to more Intel Raptor Lake CPUs.

Abington Cole + Ellery is investigating a potential class action lawsuit regarding Intel Core 13th/14th Generation processor instability issues.

On their webpage, Abington Cole + Ellery simply asks if participants purchased an affected CPU and if they have been experiencing issues with it. This potential class action lawsuit is only for residents of the United States. Intel has admitted that there are stability problems with their Raptor Lake CPUs. Even so, it remains to be seen if these issues merit the filing of a class action lawsuit. Regardless, this instability fiasco has been hugely damaging to Intel’s reputation as a CPU manufacturer.
