Intel’s 12-core X299 i9 7920X is now available to purchase
Intel has officially started to sell some of their new ultra-high-end X299 CPUs, starting with their 12-core, 24-thread i9 7920X, which is now retailing for $1199 in the US and £1099 in the UK.
Official orders have started on Newegg over in the United States, with Pre-orders starting in the UK at retailers like Overclockers UK and Scan. Stock for these CPUs is expected to arrive in the UK early next week, though the shipping dates of these CPUs has not been officially verified.Â
The i9 7920X will come with the same 140W TDP as Intel’s 10-core i9 7900X, releasing with a maximum boost clock of 4.4GHz and a base clock speed of 2.9GHz. This CPU will ship with the same number of PCIe 3.0 lanes as their i9 7900X, with a total of 44 lanes. Â
