Intel’s X299 platform is rumoured to release on June 26th

 
Rumour has it that Intel will be announcing their X299 motherboard platform at Computex 2017 on May 30th, though more recent information also suggests that the platform will be available to consumers on June 26th. 
 
WCCFTech now suggests that Intel’s review embargo/NDA for X299 testing is on June 16th, giving consumers plenty of time to look at in-depth benchmarks and testing before these CPUs are available to purchase. 

  
Right now Skylake-X is expected to release with 6-core, 8-core, 10-core and 12-core variants, with Kaby Lake-X offering lower-end 4-core offerings with higher clock speeds. Skylake-X series CPUs will support up to 4-channel DDR4 memory, thugh Kaby Lake-X series CPUs will only support dual channel memory.

At this time it is hard to tell how Intel will price their Skylake-X lineup, especially given the competition that AMD has delivered with Ryzen with their 6-8 core Ryzen 5 & 7 CPUs.
