Leaked roadmaps reveal 6-core CPUs for Intel’s mobile platforms
In the image below two 6-core mobile processors are detailed. The first is an i7 8850H, which offers a base clock speed of 2.6GHz and a boost clock of 4.3GHz and a faster mobile Xeon which provides the same core/thread count with a 2.7GHz base clock speed with a 4.4GHz boost clock, ECC DDR4 memory support and more L3 cache than the i7 8850H.Â
By the end of this quarter, Intel is also expected to release a wider range of Coffee Lake series CPUs onto the desktop market with a selection of new 300-series chipsets, including B360, H310, H370 and a rumoured Z390 chipset.Â

Six-core CPUs for notebooks have been discussed since the release of Coffee Lake on desktop platforms, with several notebook makers being remarkably coy about some of their future notebook designs at CES 2018. This secrecy is a clear indication that a new mobile CPU launch is imminent.Â
