Some people want to fit as much CPU performance as possible into a compact system, making AMD’s Ryzen series of processors and the MITX form factor extremely attractive. MSI has now unveiled their new B350I Pro AC motherboard, delivering everything a PC builder will need for a compact system.

MSI’s new ITX B350I MITX mainboard offers few compromises, providing a single reinforced PCIe to install a graphics card, an M.2 slot for an NVMe SSD, four SATA ports for additional HDDs and SSD and a 6+2+1 power phase solution with two heavy metal heatsinks which offer a decent amount of surface area. This board offers is pretty much everything most PC users will require, provided you do not use more than four SATA storage drives and do not need additional add-on cards.

On the rear I/O this motherboard has two USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.1 (Gen) ports Realtek Gigabit LAN, Intel Dual-band Wireless-AC, Audio outputs and a PS/2 port. Display wise this motherboard supports HDMI and DisplayPort outputs, though please note that these ports only function when the motherboard is used with an AMD APU (the CPU has an integrated graphics solution). Like most modern motherboards, the B350I does support RGB illumination, but only when using external 4-pin LED kits.
