MSI showcase their X299 Gaming M7 ACK and Gaming Pro Carbon
Â
The X299 Gaming M7 ACK will offer a 10+1+1 Phase DigitALL premium power, which combined with MSI’s new Turbo X299 socket should allow overclockers to get the best performance out of MSI’s latest hardware. MSI’s Turbo socket alone is a reason to be excited by this motherboard.Â
On top of this MSI has also upgraded this motherboard with new M.2 heatsinks, which integrate into the board’s chipset heatsink to provide enough bulk and surface area to cool modern M.2 devices. Â Â
Â
Â
The Gaming M7 ACK comes with dual Killer E2500 Ethernet connectors and a Killer 1535 WiFi adapter, which will ensure that users will have a great networking experience.Â
MSI have also designed this motherboard to support 3D Printed add-ons, with MSI additional showcasing fan mounts and VGA support brackets at Computex. This new feature will apply to a range of new motherboards, with MSI being expected to share some of their add-on/printable files with the public soon. Â Â
Â
Moving onto the X299 Gaming Pro CARBON we see a design that is a blank canvas, with a lot of stock customisation options that will allow users to create a stealthy all-black PC, offer stunning silver highlights and even offer a premium gold colour scheme.Â
Combine this with MSI 3D printing options and PC modders will be able to create some stunning themed PCs. The Gaming Pro Carbon will feature MSI’s new M.2 Shield v.2 M.2 heatsinks, which come with an improved design to offer better thermals.
We can also see that MSI is offering the same 10+1+1 DigitALL power design as the Gaming M7 ACK as well as MSI’s new Turbo CPU socket, which should allow overclockers to more easily achieve stability. Â
