These new expertly tested CPUs are OCUK’s 8-Pack edition i7 7700K CPUs, with have had the CPUs internal TIM (thermal interface material) replaced with Liquid metal to reduce thermals by up to thirty degrees celsius under load and are guaranteed to hit clock speeds of 5GHz at CPU voltages of under 1.35V. All of these CPUs are also guaranteed to support 4000+ MHz DRR4 memory kits at select voltage ranges, ensuring that your CPU is ready for the fastest memory kits on the market. Â

The downsides of these CPUs are obvious, with all of the work and testing required giving these CPUs a hefty price premium. This gives the 8-Pack edition a £115 price premium, though it does give the user an overclocking ready warranty that protects users for up to a year, which is generous for a CPU that is de-lidded and is expected to be run at up to 1.425v.Â
If you want to guarantee a win in the silicon lottery a high price must always be paid, though the combination of binning and de-lidding services on offer here do offer a good value compared to doing the same process yourself. Â
