Specifications for AMD’s upcoming Ryzen 3 1200 have been leaked on Asrock’s support website, giving PC gamers an idea of what to expect from AMD’s lower-end Ryzen desktop offerings.
AsRock’s listing confirms that this Ryzen 3 CPU as a quad-core, though at this time it is unknown whether or not this CPU will feature hyperthreading/AMD SMT. It is expected that Ryzen 3 will not support SMT and will be available as a 4-core 4-thread CPU, though this has not been confirmed by AMD.

AMD’s Ryzen 3 CPUs will offer some great competition for Intel’s i3 offerings, coming with four cores and 4 threads while Intel offers only dual cores with hyperthreading (four threads) at this price point. Combine this with Ryzen’s overclock ability and we have a highly competitive CPU for the low-end of the CPU market.
