Alleged Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 SUPER pricing and specifications leak

Nvidia’s RTX 5060 SUPER will give gamers a much-needed memory boost

Let’s face it, Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 5060 is a flawed product. Its small 8GB frame buffer guarantees that some gamers will run into issues when playing many new game releases. That said, it appears that Nvidia is preparing to fix the problems in its low-end GPU lineup with its planned GeForce RTX 5060 SUPER.

Now, before we delve into the specifications, we should note that Nvidia’s RTX 50 SUPER series isn’t launching anytime soon. We expect it to launch in early 2026, one year after Nvidia’s original RTX 50 series launch. Specifications are subject to change, and pricing can be changed at a moment’s notice. Typically, GPU pricing isn’t finalised until days ahead of a GPU’s unveiling. As such, take all information below with a mountain of salt.

Based on information from RedGamingTech, Nvidia’s RTX 5060 SUPER will feature 12GB of GDDR7 memory and 32 SM units. This gives Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 5060 SUPER 4096 CUDA cores. If Nvidia uses 3GB GDDR7 modules, this GPU will feature 12GB of memory over a 128-bit memory bus.

Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 5060 SUPER strategy

Without TGP information for this GPU, we cannot guess at its performance levels. Based on its leaked pricing, this new GPU is intended as a replacement for Nvidia’s RTX 5060 Ti 8GB. The new GPU will be cheaper, feature more memory, and should deliver more gaming performance in scenarios where VRAM is a limiting factor.

If this data is correct, Nvidia does not plan to replace its RTX 5060 with its upcoming SUPER variant. In other words, Nvidia does not want to devalue its standard RTX 5060 and wants to maintain its margins. However, competition could force Nvidia to consider lowered pricing.
