AMD RDNA 4 Flagship GPU Image Leaks – Radeon RX 8800 XT?

Is this AMD’s Radeon RX 8800 XT? New AMD Reference GPU design leaks

AMD fans have spotted a new AMD ad campaign that showcases a GPU that has never been seen before. This new GPU appears to be a reference design for AMD’s upcoming RDNA 4 flagship, the Radeon RX 8800 XT.

Sadly, AMD’s ad reveals no information about this new graphics card. We can see that the GPU features a triple-fan heatsink design. Aside from that, these images reveal nothing. That said, a lot is known about AMD’s upcoming RDNA 4 graphics architecture.

Thanks to Sony’s PlayStation 5 Pro, we know that AMD’s next-generation GPU architecture will significantly improve AMD’s ray tracing capabilities. This will dramatically improve AMD’s competitiveness with Nvidia in modern games, especially now that ray tracing is starting to become mandatory in new PC releases. Note that AMD also plans to release an AI-powered upscaling solution.

While older leaks suggest that AMD planned to call their next-generation flagship the Radeon RX 8800 XT, there are reports that AMD has changed course. A new leak has suggested that they will be releasing GPUs called the Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070. AMD are expected to reveal their first RDNA 4 GPUs at CES 2025.
