AMD RX 9060 XT GPUs leak with 16GB and 8GB versions

Acer lists 16GB and 8GB Radeon RX 9060 XT GPU models with the EEC

Acer has listed various graphics cards, including some unreleased models, as part of a new listing with the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) (as reported by WCCFTECH). This includes upcoming Radeon RX 9060 XT models, which have been listed with 8GB and 16GB VRAM capacities.

Below are listings for Acer’s Predator BiFrost RX 9060 XT and other RX 9060 XT series GPU models. Note that no non-XT 9060 GPUs are listed.

Based on the 16GB and 8GB memory options, it is likely that AMD’s 9060-series graphics cards will feature a 128-bit memory interface. This is half the size of the memory bus on AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT. This suggests that there may be a large performance gap between AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9060 XT. Like AMD’s other RDNA 4 graphics cards, AMD’s 9060 series GPUs will use GDDR6 memory.

Early rumours for AMD’s Radeon RDNA 4 lineup suggest that AMD have created a “Navi 44” chip with a 128-bit memory bus. Sadly, the specifications of this “Navi 44” chip are unknown. That said, leaks of its package size suggest that AMD aims to create another value-oriented RDNA 4 product. AMD could be preparing a new RX 9070 XT moment for the lower-end GPU market.

AMD’s RX 9060 series GPUs are due to launch sometime within the next few months. If AMD can replicate the success of its RX 9070 series, they will transform the lower end of the GPU market. That’s great news for AMD, and great news for gamers.
