AMD to showcase their Radeon RX 9000 series on February 28th
Expect a full rundown on AMD’s RDNA 4 graphics architecture on February 28th
AMD VP David McAfee has confirmed that the company will be revealing their Radeon RX 9000 series of RDNA 4-powered graphics cards on February 28th. This will be a little more than a week after Nvidia’s RTX 5070 Ti launch and around a week before the launch of Nvidia’s RTX 5070.
At CES 2025, AMD previewed their RDNA 4 graphics architecture. There, AMD promised improvements to all aspects of their GPU performance. For starters, AMD has promised “Supercharged AI compute” thanks to its new second-generation AI accelerators. Next, we have “improved ray tracing compute per CU” with its third-generation RT accelerators. Furthermore, we have “optimised compute units” that should deliver an increase in raw computational power.
On February 28th, we will finally see what AMD’s RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT graphics cards are capable of. We should also be seeing how these new Radeon GPUs are priced. The event will be streamed on YouTube at 8 AM EST/ 1 PM GMT on AMD’s Gaming channel.
The wait is almost over. Join us on February 28 at 8 AM EST for the reveal of the next-gen @AMD Radeon RX 9000 Series. Get ready to make it yours when it hits shelves in early March. RSVP by subscribing to the AMD YouTube channel: https://t.co/4rkVxeoDIa

If AMD wants its Radeon RX 9000 series to be successful, it will need solid performance at aggressive pricing. AMD simply cannot price-match Nvidia and hope for the best. AMD needs to give PC gamers more and release its GPUs in large volumes. AMD’s GPUs need to be purchasable (not sell out instantly) and be well-priced.
