AMD releases their Radeon Software 18.11.2 driver for Battlefield V

AMD has officially released their Radeon Software 18.11.2 driver, offering enhanced support for DICE’s Battlefield V alongside the ability to utilise new Vulkan Extension called “VK_AMD_memory_overalloation_behavior”.

Sadly, this driver is not supported by AMD’s Ryzen+Vega/Raven Ridge APUs, though this driver does ship with support for AMD’s new RX 590 graphics card, which released last week.

At this time it is unknown how this driver impacts Battlefield V’s performance, as AMD has released this driver without any performance data in its release notes. Even so, our initial Performance Review of Battlefield V already showcases great performance on AMD/Radeon hardware with AMD’s RX Vega 56 outperforming Nvidia’s GTX 1080 under DirectX 11.
