ANTGAMER has unveiled the world’s first 1000Hz gaming monitor

ANTGAMER, via ITHOME, has unveiled the world’s first 1000Hz gaming monitor, with plans to release this new esports-focused screen in 2026. Today, the company also officially released its 750Hz ANT257PF monitor, a fast-TN gaming screen utilising HKC Display’s G8.6 panel technology.

ANTGAMER’s planned 1000Hz monitor uses a “partitioned backlight” display to support local dimming and black frame insertion (BFI). With Black Frame Insertion, this monitor aims to deliver enhanced image clarity. The local dimming aspects of this display will also deliver higher levels of contrast with this new display.

Black Frame Insertion places black frames in between frames. This blackens the entire screen momentarily and can make content appear sharper. Instead of having frames blur into each other, Black Frame Insertion separates frames and makes them appear sharper. This technology eliminates some of the image clarity issues associated with standard “sample and hold” displays.

Monitor technology continues to evolve, and modern monitors are becoming increasingly fast. Now, the fastest screens are becoming too fast to be maxed out by today’s CPUs and GPUs. That said, this is where Nvidia’s Multi-Frame Generation tech can step in to deliver higher levels of gaming fluidity.

Hitting 1000Hz is legitimately insane. It’s more than 16 times faster than the 60Hz refresh rate that most gamers aim for. Modern high-end monitors are almost too fast for today’s hardware. That said, it is good to see companies continuing to push the limits of technology.
