ASUS begins ambitious “Trade Up” program for Nvidia Turing Graphics cards

What should I do with my old hardware? That the question we ask ourselves every time we upgrade. Should I give my old graphics card away to a friend of a family member, or try to sell it on websites like eBay or Gumtree?

This upgrade cycle, Nvidia wants to make things easy for you, by offering a new “trade up” promotion which will enable owners of older graphics hardware to trade them in for cash back on their Turing-based GPU purchase.

With this promotion, Nvidia plans to offer up to £270 for GPU trade-ins, with our press email stating that graphics cards can come from “ANY BRAND”. Yes, ASUS’ offer applies to trade in from competing brands like Gigabyte, MSI and EVGA.

This offer is only available in the UK and applies to a range of Nvidia Turing series GTX and RTX graphics cards from ASUS, coming from their Dual, Turbo, TUF, Phoenix and ROG product ranges. Participating UK retailers include Ebuyer, Overclockers UK, Novatech, Scan, Box Limited and CCL Computers. Full terms and conditions are available to read here

ASUS stated that this offer is available for purchases between July 1st and August 31st at participating retailers and that traded in graphics cards must not have been used for mining purposes. Graphics card trade-in options are listed within the promotion’s terms and conditions, with AMD’s RX 480 and RX 580 being the only Radeon graphics cards listed. Notable graphics cards from the GTX 700, 900 and 10 series are included in ASUS’ Trade-in list.

Details on how much you traded in graphics card will be worth is available within ASUS’ terms and conditions page. Purchasers of qualifying products need to provide proof of purchase within 30 days of buying their new graphics card and ship their qualifying trade-in device within 45 days of purchase.
