ASUS’ ROG Swift PG43UQ 4K 144Hz DisplayHDR 1000 monitor is now available in the UK
Now, the ROG Swift PG43UQ is available within the UK, with Overclockers UK selling this screen for £1,538.95. For this money, buyers will get a 144Hz 4K variable refresh rate monitor which supports DisplayHDR1000 and can reach its maximum refresh rate and resolution without sacrificing quality with Chroma subsampling.Â
The PG43UQ will support variable refresh rates on both AMD and Nvidia graphics cards though VESA’s Adaptive-Sync standard, though the screen has also passed Nvidia’s “G-Sync Compatible” certification process.
While the ROG Swift PG43UQ currently meets VESA’s DisplayHDR 1000 HDR standards, the screen’s HDR capabilities are going to be lower than today’s OLED and MiniLED screens. Even so, meeting VESA’s DisplayHDR standard does require the screen to feature some form of local dimming, and requires the monitor to support over 90% of the DCI-P3 colour space.Â
ASUS’ PG43UQ will support VESA 100mm monitor mounts, dual DisplayPort 1.4 inputs and dual HDMI 2.0 inputs. This screen does not support HDMI 2.1. The screen ships with support for ASUS Aura Sync lighting and contains two 10w speakers.Â
The PC43UQ will also support ASUS’ Extreme Low Motion Blur specification, which allows ASUS to offer users variable refresh rates and motion blur lowering techniques concurrently. This feature is unique to ASUS’ latest screens and will help make games appear sharper in motion, especially at high refresh rates.Â
