ASUS unveils its RTX 5080 Noctua Edition graphics card
ASUS has collaborated with Noctua to create what could be the quietest RTX 5080 graphics card
ASUS has officially unveiled its RTX 5080 Noctua Edition graphics card. This GPU uses three NF-A12x25 G2 fans for cooling, making this graphics card HUGE when compared to most other RTX 5080 models.
This new GPU design uses an “optimised vapour chamber” to deliver efficient cooling. ASUS and Noctua have also opted to use phase-change GPU thermal pads to ensure optimal cooling performance and high longevity.
With three 120mm fans for cooling, this graphics card is over 360mm long and appears to be four PCIe slots thick. This GPU is a monster!
Looking at the rear of this GPU, we see some Noctua branding and half of a Noctua logo on the end of this graphics card. On the side of this GPU, we can also see a brown Noctua-coloured strip, highlighting the “Noctua Edition” nature of this product.
Note that this CPU cooler uses Noctua’s new NF-A12-X15 G2 fans. We expect Noctua to discuss these fans in more detail at their Computex booth. These are “next-generation” versions of their existing NF-A12x25 fans. So expect increased cooling performance.
Ahead of Computex 2025, Noctua has already teased the âfuture of PC coolingâ, showcasing what appears to be a thermosiphon-based CPU cooling solution. Additionally, Noctua has teased what looks like a PC case and a new Power Supply.
