Boosted Specs – Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Specification Leak
Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Specifications Leak – TDP and CUDA core count boost revealed
Benchlife has leaked the specifications of Nvidia’s upcoming GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card, revealing new details about the upcoming GPU. This backs up prior leaks by stating that the 5070 has a 12GB frame buffer. As we have said before, we think this would be a mistake for Nvidia, as VRAM buffer size is quickly becoming a limiting factor for some GPUs in modern games.
Based on this new leak, Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 5070 will have 6,400 CUDA cores and a TGP of 250W. This gives the GPU 8.6% more CUDA cores than Nvidia’s RTX 4070 and a TGP that is 50W higher. With 8.6% more CUDA cores and 25% more power, Nvidia’s new 5070 GPU will likely have higher GPU clock speeds than its predecessor. That would explain the GPU’s higher TDP.
Currently, it is unknown how Nvidia’s planned 5070 GPU will perform. It will undoubtedly outperform Nvidia’s RTX 4070, though it remains to be seen if it can outperform their RTX 4070 Ti. If these leaked specifications are legitimate, Nvidia’s RTX 5070 will have fewer CUDA cores than an RTX 4070 SUPER and a TDP that is 30W higher. Has Nvidia delivered the per CUDA core performance boost needed for their new 5070 GPU to best a 4070 Ti?
Nvidia are likely to reveal their RTX 50 series GPUs at CES 2025. We expect Nvidia’s 5070 and above GPUs to be released in Q1 2025.
