EVGA’s Hydro Copper RTX series graphics cards revealed

These new Hydro Copper series RTX graphics cards from EVGA will feature two designs, first, the company’s Hydro Copper XC, which appears to use a reference-style PCB layout, and the company’s larger Hydro Copper FTW3, which seems to make use of the same PCB as EVGA’s RTX 2080/2080 Ti FTW3 series models. 

EVGA doesn’t sell custom water cooling components, a decision which will force customers to integrate the company’s Hydro Copper graphics cards into 3rd party/custom water cooling setups. Purchasers of EVGA’s Hydro Copper graphics cards will need to be careful to avoid incompatibility with specific water cooling components, as EVGA’s Hydro Copper name suggests that the block is made of Nickel Plated Copper. Hydro Copper graphics cards should not be mixed with budget-oriented aluminium water cooling components.    

At this time, EVGA has not released the base/boost clock speeds of any of their RTX series graphics cards, leaving customers in the dark when it comes to real-world performance. None of Nvidia’s AIB partners has released detailed specifications for their custom Turing/RTX series graphics cards.
