Expect to see Intel Battlemage GPUs next month

Intel may reveal ARC Battlemage ahead of CES 2025

Early 2025 is going to be filled with GPU launches. New graphics cards are expected from AMD, Intel, and Nvidia, making early 2025 a transformative time for the GPU market. Now, it looks like Intel may be revealing their ARC Battlemage GPUs ahead of CES 2025, which will likely place their reveal ahead of AMD and Intel.

According to Golden Pig Upgrade, a reliable hardware leaker, gamers can look forward to seeing “wonderful performance” from Battlemage next month. Will Intel officially reveal Battlemage? Should we expect extensive leaks in December? Could Intel surprise everyone and release Battlemage in December? Who knows…

If Intel reveals Battlemage early, they will pre-empt AMD and Nvidia with their upcoming Radeon RDNA 4 and GeForce RTX 50 series product reveals. This could give Intel more time in the spotlight. This could be good for Intel, as they have almost no market share compared to AMD and Nvidia. Would an early reveal help Intel to generate mind share?

In 2025, everyone will be fighting hard for their share of the gaming GPU market, Intel especially. Battlemage may present a do-or-die situation for Intel’s GPU division. Intel needs strong Battlemage sales, or their discrete GPUs may disappear for good. After all, Intel is currently strapped for cash, and axing its discrete GPU roadmap could cut many costs. However, it should be remembered that Intel needs to invest in GPUs regardless, as their integrated graphics solutions still need good drivers and a solid GPU architecture.
