Gigabyte’s hidden-cable RTX 5090 Stealth ICE GPU has been revealed
Gigabyte’s first “Stealth ICE” series graphics card has been unveiled. Meet the Gigabyte Aorus Master RTX 5090 Stealth ICE, a “hidden connector” graphics card that can appear “cable-free” when installed inside a gaming PC.
Gigabyte first teased this new hidden cable graphics card last week, but Videocardz was the first to show it in detail. This GPU is based on Gigabyte’s existing Aorus Master GPU design, though the GPU has a custom heatsink and PCB, both are required to enable Gigabyte’s “hidden cable” effect.

Below, we can see where Gigabyte has hidden the 12v-2×6 power cable for the new RTX 5090. It is at the bottom of the GPU’s PCB and hidden by the graphics card’s large heatsink. Users route their power connectors behind their case’s motherboard tray using a PC case’s cable management holes. These are the one that are usually occupied by SATA cables.
Unlike Sapphire’s Radeon RX 9070 XT NITRO+ GPU, Gigabyte has not hidden their power connector under a removable plate. This makes Gigabyte’s “hidden” cable visible from certain angles. However, the cable remains hidden from view at most angles.
The good news is that Gigabyte’s 12V-2×6 power connector remains accessible for installation. That said, I would recommend installing this cable before you place this GPU inside your PC case.
While it isn’t a perfect solution, Gigabyte’s “Stealth” approach will hide their graphics card’s power cable from view at most angles. It is much less complex than ASUS’ BTF ecosystem, though ASUS has addressed these shortcomings with BTF 2.0. Regardless, this is a simple cable hiding solution that avoids rewriting all the rules of PC building.
