Gigabyte teases “Hidden Cable” RTX 5090 Stealth ICE graphics card

Gigabyte’s planning to launch a “Stealth ICE” series RTX 5090 graphics card

As part of a recent press release, Gigabyte has revealed its upcoming RTX 5090 Stealth Ice graphics card. This GPU can be installed with no visible power connector. This GPU is part of Gigabyte’s “Stealth” hardware lineup, which includes motherboards with “Stealth”/Back-Connect motherboards and compatible PC cases.

Gigabyte’s “Stealth” series motherboards have their power and I/O connectors on the rear. This hides these cables from view when viewed through a PC’s window. Now, it looks like Gigabyte is bringing this concept to the GPU market, but not by using ASUS’ custom “BTF 2.0” power connector. Based on Gigabyte’s existing “Stealth” series motherboards, Gigabyte appears to be using a “hidden cable “approach.

Gigabyte’s RTX 50 series STEALTH ICE GPUs likely uses a similar “hidden power connector” design to Sapphire’s Radeon RX 9070 NITRO+ series GPUs. This GPU hides its power connector behind the GPU’s backplate and directs the cable towards a PC case’s cable management holes. This creates a hidden cable effect without using a custom power connector.

Gigabyte has not revealed everything there is to know about its upcoming “STEALTH ICE” GPUs. We expect to learn more about these new GPUs at Computex 2025.
