GPU supplier reveals March release for Nvidia RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti GPUs

Nvidia’s RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti GPUs may launch in March, according to Chaintech

Chaintech, the company behind the Colorful brand, has released a slide (via @wxnod) claiming that Nvidia plans to release its RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti GPUs in March.

With the release of these two GPUs, Nvidia will have launched their primary RTX 50 series GPU lineup. Newer models will have replaced all prior-generation RTX 40 series GPUs. However, there are rumours that Nvidia has other segmentation plans for its RTX 50 series.

AMD plans to launch its Radeon RX 9070 XT GPUs in March, making March a busy month for the GPU market. AMD’s RX 9070 and 9070 XT GPUs will likely compete with Nvidia’s RTX 5070 series GPUs, making Nvidia’s RTX 5060 series lower-end products.

There are rumours that Nvidia plans to release their RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti GPUs with 8GB frame buffers. However, higher capacity (more expensive) variants are also rumoured. This could spell trouble for Nvidia, especially if AMD can release a competitive product in the same price range with more VRAM.

If Chaintech/Colorful is correct, Nvidia’s RTX 5060 GPUs may arrive before all RTX 5090 pre-orders are fulfilled. Nvidia are launching their RTX 50 series GPUs at a rapid pace.

Nvidia’s GTC 2025 event is in March. It is possible that the company will reveal their RTX 5060 series GPUs there. However, this event will be between March 17th and 21st, which doesn’t leave much time in the remainder of March to release new GPUs.
