Intel ARC B580 GPU designs leak from ASROCK

Intel’s first ARC Battlemage GPUs leak, and they have 12GB of VRAM

Two ASRock ARC B580 GPU models have been listed on Amazon, with Videocardz being the first to spot these new Intel graphics cards. Both of these new GPUs have 12GB of VRAM, and utilise Intel’s new Xe2 “Battlemage” graphics architecture.

The first of these new GPU models is the ARC B580 Steel Legend, which is reportedly overclocked to 2.8 GHz. Note that this is a huge clock speed boost over Intel’s ARC Alchemist series GPUs. The ARC A770 clocked at just 2.1 GHz, making this ARC B580 700 MHz faster. This GPU also reportedly uses 19 Gbps GDDR6 memory.

Note that this new GPU from Intel uses two 8-pin PCIe power connectors and doesn’t use 16-pin 12VHPWR or 12V-2×6 power inputs. Intel are sticking to tried and true power standards with this generation, giving their GPUs broader PSU support.

ASROCK also listed their ARC B580 Challenger graphics card. It also features 12GB of GDDR6 memory. Its packaging mentions this GPU’s support for XeSS upscaling and the GPU’s XMX AI accelerators. It also notes the GPU’s ray tracing support.

Intel is reportedly launching their ARC B-series Battlemage GPUs next month. With this generation of GPUs, Intel is expected to deliver much stronger overall performance and much better graphics drivers. Both of these changes will be vital if Intel hopes to gain market share from AMD or Nvidia.
